Freespace: GTA Shipset for Stellaris

Freespace: GTA Shipset for Stellaris

Hey everyone!

This mod is an independent shipset, some basic technology, name lists, music, and a few weapons.

Ships have been added in the following spots.

Corvette – Titan Class
Destroyer – Garm Class
Cruiser – Fenrir Class
Battleship – Zakuna Class
Science Ship – Faustus Class
Orbital Station
Transport – Elysium Class
Fighter – Hercules
Bomber – Medusa
Construction Ship – Argos
Mining Station – Aule
Research Station – Exos
Defense Station – Nareus
Colony Ship – Copernicus

Besides the ships, there are two new technologies:

GTA Laser Tech 1 & 2.

1 Unlocks the ML-16 Fighter Weapon, and the new shipclass to use it on, the Fighter/Bomber squadrons, using the hercules/medusa meshes.

Namelists are in place for both the GTA and Vasudans, however the Vasudan species is currently lacking (and portraits are not functioning how I want them to.)

There are also a few select pieces of FreeSpace 2 music from the original game.

Also, with unlocking GTA Laser tech 2, you will get access to the Terran light turret (s/m/l), which features a new sound & icon. Just something for flavor. I’m sure there are better weapons in game. ????

Upcoming plans for the immediate and near future:

## 1. Squash any major glaring issues from this beta upload.
## 2. Expand the current GTA roster to properly replace all leftover ships. (colony ship, frontier/defense station).

NOTE
#####

Shipset is complete as of now. I was going to do the Vasudans and Shivans but my ambition has left me. Mod is complete as it is, anything updated will probably be bug-fixes. Sorry guys!

#####

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to report a bug. A good way to get in touch is a discord set up for this mod.

Thanks!

What is Stellaris mods?

A mod (short for "modification") is an alteration where someone, usually a player, changes some aspect (e.g. the way it looks or behaves) of a video game. Mods may range from small changes and simple tweaks to completely new games made within a video game. Games running on a personal computer are often designed with change in mind, allowing modern PC games to be modified by gamers without much difficulty. Don't wait and try Stellaris mods right now.
