Authority Ignores Ethics

Authority Ignores Ethics

Allows selecting any of the standard authorities while egalitarian or authoritarian.

The idea for this was sparked by In the end, governments are already over-simplified in Stellaris and there aren’t any gameplay or balance reasons why egalitarian and authoritarian have to lock you into a specific authority.

Going through all the civics, any problematic combinations this could have created already have an authority restriction on top of requiring the correct levels of egalitarian or authoritarian. So this might as well have been supported in the base game.

Made with versions 2.6.1 and 2.6.2 in mind but should work with any 2.6.* version.

This mod overrides:

/common/governments/authorities/00_authorities.txt /common/ethics/00_ethics.txt

The changes to 00_ethics are optional. Make sure any conflicting mod(s) overwrites our file. You’ll need a compatibility patch for any mod that overrides 00_authorities.
