Balanced Prosperous Unification Mod

Balanced Prosperous Unification Mod

Overview

“Since Unification Day the economy has been booming!”, it says, as the planet is being purged by xenos.

Balanced Prosperous Unification (BPU) is a mod meant to iron out Prosperous Unification origin specifically the Prosperous Unification modifier to the home planet that you get at the beginning of the game. The mod is not achievement compatible.

First, Prosperous Unification modifier is now lost when your home planet is invaded. Not to fret, you can regain the modifier back to your home planet. After you rid the xenos occupying your home planet, you need to keep your home planet safe from any future occupations for about 20 years (checked at the first day of each year). Then an event will pop up letting you know that the economy is booming once more.

Second, Prosperous Unification cannot be readded if the home planet is not controlled by its original owner. Therefore, you can’t just invade any xenos you want, repurpose their home world as your own and now suddenly have two planets with Prosperous Unification. However, successful invasion of a home planet with the Prosperous Unification modifier will add credits and minerals depending on how well-developed (how many pops) are in the planet. Side note: this does not preclude “peaceful acquisition” (integration) of other home planets.

Finally, Prosperous Unification modifier is also now lost when your home planet is sufficiently developed (over 100 pops) as well as in late-game. The economy can’t keep booming forever :v.

Compatibility
I have not tested with mod with other mods, though it should be compatible with any mods. The code is also written in a way that would allow it to work without any DLCs.

Known Issues
No known issues as far as I know. If you find any bugs, please let me know.

Planned Work
Depending on the feedback, I might come back and adjust the balance. I’m also planning to make a more extensive balance mod for Prosperous Unification, which will be a different take than this one and thus be its own release.

What is Stellaris mods?

A mod (short for "modification") is an alteration where someone, usually a player, changes some aspect (e.g. the way it looks or behaves) of a video game. Mods may range from small changes and simple tweaks to completely new games made within a video game. Games running on a personal computer are often designed with change in mind, allowing modern PC games to be modified by gamers without much difficulty. Don't wait and try Stellaris mods right now.
