Better Ecumenopoli

Better Ecumenopoli

Better Ecumenopoli is an attempt to beautify the rather hideous and low quality base game textures for the Ecumenopolis world. This mod does not replace the base game textures, but adds more variations. This mod contains 21 high-res, 4K textures and is also compatible with Planetary Diversity’s ‘More Arcologies’ add-on*.

– 4 textures for the ‘Ecumenopolis’
– 4 textures for PD’s ‘Aquatic Ecumenopolis’
– 3 textures for PD’s ‘Eco-Arcology’
– 1 texture each for PD’s ‘Capital Arcology’ and ‘Palace Arcology’
– 4 textures for PD’s ‘Fortress Arcology’
– 4 textures for PD’s ‘Corpo-Arcology’

*Planetary Diversity: More Arcologies is required to see the arcology textures in-game, but not the Ecumenopolis textures.

CREDITS:

– Dwayne for his 4K textures from his various Stellaris mods
– Cloud textures from Dwayne and Annatar.
– Gatekeeper for Planetary Diversity assets and his fantastic More Arcologies mod which I highly recommend

COMPATIBILITY

– This is a texture mod so should be compatible with most mods. Totally compatible with Planetary Diversity (and can be used without) and Dwayne’s 4K/2K texture mods called ‘Immersive Galaxy’ (which I highly recommend).

FAQ

‘The textures aren’t appearing in my game!’

This mod does not overwrite the base game textures, so there is still a chance the base game ecumenopolis will appear in your game. If you’d like to overwrite it completely, go into the mod files and go to GFX>Models>Planets>betterecumenopoli_city_planetary_entities and change the text ‘city_planet_02_entity’ to ‘city_planet_01_entity’. Then adjust the numbers for the other entities in the text file. This will overwrite the base game texture.

What is Stellaris mods?

A mod (short for "modification") is an alteration where someone, usually a player, changes some aspect (e.g. the way it looks or behaves) of a video game. Mods may range from small changes and simple tweaks to completely new games made within a video game. Games running on a personal computer are often designed with change in mind, allowing modern PC games to be modified by gamers without much difficulty. Don't wait and try Stellaris mods right now.
