Adds 7 new vanilla-style species traits to your game.
Description
Other trait mods suffer from three problems:
- They add so many traits that it overwhelms the player
- They have so many traits that none of them are unique
- Their traits suffer from “mission creep” in an attempt to fit the description, and have too many modifiers
Not this mod. Simple Additional Traits does exactly what it says on the tin: gives the player 7 unique, vanilla-style species traits. Each of these traits are simple (they only modify a single characteristic) and aim to be balanced in the same way that the devs intended.
As such, this mod will likely never add more than 10 traits, and will never bloat your trait selection screen with hundreds of traits you’ll likely never use.
Traits
- Efficient Metabolism: pop food/mineral upkeep -25%.
- Gluttonous: pop food/mineral upkeep +25%.
- Humble: pop demotion time -50%.
- Proud: pop demotion time +50%.
- Precocious: leader starting age -25 years.
- Extended Adolescence: leader starting age +15 years.
- Organic Symbiote (lithoids only): pops produce 0.2 food per month
Compatibility
Will have compatibility issues with mods that overwrite the pop_categories folder. If none of your mods do that, this can safely be set to load first and have all other mods supercede it.
