Intervene: Help Friendly Nations – 2.7 Mod

Intervene: Help Friendly Nations – 2.7 Mod

Short Description:

– This mod grants all empires an edict that allows them to enter into wars being waged by their allies. For the purposes of this mod, an ally is anyone with a positive opinion ( > 0 ) of your empire.

– If in a Federation, only the Federation leader can suggest joining an ally’s war.

===

Changes From Original:

– Does not require Diplomacy tradition to be adopted.

– One year wait time between interventions as opposed to 5.

– Interventions cost 300 influence for federations as well as independent nations.

– Various English localization changes.

– Allies whose wars you join will get a +360 opinion modifier from you that decays -1 per day, so it will completely decay one year after the you enter the war. The way I see it is that helping someone with war is a big deal, so it should really help your relations. After a year, it’s more like “What have you done for me lately?”

===

Support:

– Full support for Zenith of Fallen Empires

– Support for new AI personalities added by More AI Personalities:

– For the additional personalities where it made sense, I’ve made it so the AI should occasionally use the edict and join allied wars.

===

Notes:

– Right now, this can be used to get around the 10-year truces. This may be fixed in the future.

– The AI has been coded to be able to use the edict, so they should be able to if they have the appropriate personality or ethics. I highly suggest using the More AI Personalities mod mentioned above.
– If the AI uses this in your game, I would love to know (so I know I coded it right). It’s hard to test AI stuff.

Credit:

– Obviously credit to lpslucasps and their original mod. I never got to use it, but it was great idea that I wanted to be able to use. Check out the original mod description for more info.
