I’ve glassed a lot of planets in my 4X days and I couldn’t help but think Stellaris’ orbital bombardment was a little weak. So I went digging through the files and it turns out there are two reasons for this: if you think it’s because it’s not living up to what the tooltips tell you – well, you’re right If you think what the tooltips tell you is weaksauce, well, you’re also right, and this is probably rhe mod for you.

Light Orbital Bombardment: 5% chance to kill pop per month (was 0%)
Limited Orbital Bombardment: 20% chance to kill pop per month (was 2%), 25% chance to ruin a building per month (was 5%)
Full Orbital Bombardment: 50% chance to kill pop per month (was 4%), 50% chance to ruin a building per month (was 10%), 25% chance to create a tile blocker per month (was 3%).
Armageddon Bombardment: 75% chance to kill pop per month (was 6%), 75% chance to ruin a building per month (was 10%), 50% chance to create a tile blocker per month (was 6%).
Bombardment can now kill the last pop on a planet. Let me know if this causes Issues with war resolution somehow.
Killing the last pop on a colonized planet has a chance of creating a tomb world (up to 50% at full bombardment or 75% at Armageddon). Ringworlds are damaged and habitats are destroyed instead.
if a planet is turned into a tomb world by bombardment, every tile has a chance of gaining a Bombarded Land tile blocker (up to 50% chance at full bombardment or 75% at Armageddon).
Changed all localisations to match new figures.
